Summer Reading Program

The 2021 children’s summer reading program is being assessed due to the COVID-19 pandemic.  It will be announced in May if it will happen.

Annual summer reading program June through July.

The Hillsboro Public Library will provide programs on Thursdays. We will have the movie in June at the Elroy theater where a soda and popcorn will be offered. Read 6 books and attend a carnival at the library in mid July.

Adult Programs

Drop In

For now 2021 (may begin in the Fall) drop in program has been suspended due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

The drop in group meets at the Hillsboro Public Library on the third Thursday of February, April, June, September and November, with a special Christmas program in December. The program begins at 6:30 PM with a guest speaker who provides a short program. Topics will vary and there will be time for audience participation. Light refreshments will be served, donations are welcome. There is no preregistration and no obligation to attend all events. Check the calendar for information as to topics. Come when you can stay as long as you wish, all ages are encouraged to attend. This program is sponsored by the Hillsboro Friends Of The Library.
